Tihomira Palova

Mrs. Palova has a Master’s Degree in “Accounting and Control” from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has also a Master’s Degree in “Finance” from the University of Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria. She has been Chief Accountant in German Hair Cosmetics Company, the official importer of “Wella” for Bulgaria. These 8 years of experience in SME sector are very useful for her current position in the public sector. Since 2009 until now Mrs. Palova works as an expert in the Ministry of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the SME policy area, in “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” Department. Her work is related to the promotion of entrepreneurship in the country. She participated in the implementation of the three-year project “Establishment and development of centers to promote entrepreneurship in universities in Bulgaria”, which was funded by the Ministry of Economy and Energy. From 2014 she is a representative of the Republic of Bulgaria in COSME Committee in EC.

Milena Nikolova

Professor Nikolova teaches a variety of marketing-related classes at the American University in Bulgaria. During her doctoral studies at The George Washington University School of Business she was an instructor in programs with a strong experiential learning component. At AUBG Professor Nikolova continues to apply this approach through a variety of formats that engage students in solving real-world problems of businesses and start-ups from the region.

Veneta Andonova

Professor Andonova teaches Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship at AUBG. She is an active supporter of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bulgaria and a startup mentor. She is an active researcher with scientific contributions on the topics of entrepreneurship, institutional analysis and internationalization.

Rennie Popcheva

Rennie Popcheva is the founder of the Embrioo.com platform that gives a path to follow and space to grow to the ideas of innovative young minds all around the globe. In Embrioo incubator, every idea can be written down and developed with the help of virtual teams into a full-scale project that has the potential to become a successful business. Before realizing her project, Rennie has been working for big corporations in Bulgaria for 14 years, which has given her idea the time and space to grow and finally to become the amazing incubator for ideas that brings people with common goals and determination together. Teodor Panayotov

Teodor has been an open-minded entrepreneur for more than 6 years. He registered his first company, when he was twenty. Having a well-developing business in the sphere of IT education and consultations, he is one of the entrepreneurs who have what to say about success, mistakes and steps every StartUP has to go through. During StartUP@Blagoevgrad 2014, he will present what he learned at the Research Park at NASA in the Silicon Valley, California-Graduate Studies Program of Singularity University, by telling us more about StartUP tendencies.

Lyubomir Rusanov

Lyubomir Rusanov is the founder and manager of Superhosting.bg. He has a vast experience in the IT sphere, as he has held different managerial and executive positions in Bulgarian and international software companies. Lyubomir Yanchev

Lyubomir Yanchev is so young, but the abundance of his ideas is impressive. He is famous for his project -“The Modern Steward”- Melissa.  He is an example of success and he breaks the belief that age is a limit. At StartUP@Blagoevgrad 2014 Lyubo will tell us what teen entrepreneurship is really about.  He will reveal the opportunity of developing a project or business plan, while still being a high school student; what it is to have an idea and how to proceed with it in his panel: “I have an idea, what’s next?”.

Maxim Gurvits

Max is a VC partner at Teres Capital, a new venture fund for
high-growth companies in Southeastern Europe, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
An entrepreneur and VC, he previously co-founded an online legal service
company in the Netherlands, followed by a brief stint as an investment
banker. Max was on the founding team of Eleven Startup Accelerator in
Sofia, the largest acceleration program and seed fund in the Balkans
region, before joining Teres.

Stephane Gantchev

Stephane Gantchev is Venture Partner at LAUNCHub, a seed fund supporting the most promising entrepreneurs and digital startups in South and Eastern Europe. Prior to Launchub, Stephane started his career in France, initially in large IT integrator/service provider company, and later in Orange (France Telecom) where he was Head of Innovations for the Orange France VAS mobile entity. Kristalin Chavdarov

Born on the sea coast around a quarter of a century ago in the month of Bona Dea. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Germany, he comes back to Bulgaria on January 1, 2009.
